About the Snifter design
The flat rim runs straight across the top, and from its corners the sides lean steadily outward to the widest point near the middle of the bowl. Below that the steel rounds inward and pinches into a short stem that flares again where it meets the foot. The bowl takes up nearly two thirds of the height. The foot spreads almost exactly as wide as the rim, a thin base tapering to rounded tips, so the outline balances top and bottom.
