About the Hooked Stem design
Six pointed leaves alternate up this sprig with no veins cut into them, so each stays a smooth black almond. At the top the stem forks into a narrow V, sending its last two leaves up like a pair of raised hands. Below the lowest leaf, the bare stem sweeps away to the right in a long curve and stops at a blunt rounded tip, like the hook on a walking cane.
