About the Splayed Leaf design
Paired leaves climb a short, slightly leaning stem and fan wider the lower they sit. The bottom two stretch out almost flat, like open arms, while the pair above tilts up at an angle and the next pair stands nearly upright beside a single leaf that caps the tip. Every leaf has a rounded end and pinches to a narrow neck where it meets the stem. Below the lowest pair, a short bare stub of stem pokes out like a handle.
