About the Budded Cross design
Every arm of this cross finishes in a cluster of three round buds, packed tight like a clover leaf. The buds swell well past the width of the straight bars that carry them, so each end looks like a knob on a short stalk. The crossbar sits high, leaving the lower arm noticeably longer than the upper one. Where the bars meet, the corners stay plain and square, with no ring or flourish at the center.
