About the Square End Cross design

Three of the four ends swell into squared blocks, each wider than the bar behind it and stepped out on short slanted shoulders like the pommel on a sword grip. The long foot gets no block at all. It drops plain and straight to a bottom edge nicked with a couple of shallow chips, as if worn down. The right arm's block sits a hair lower than the left, and the top block carries its own tiny clipped corner.
