About the Trefoil Plinth Cross design
Three bumpy lobes cap the top and both side arms, each cluster puffing out wider than the arm that carries it. The long shaft is not straight but widens steadily as it falls, so the cross looks rooted rather than balanced. It settles into a stepped plinth, first a narrow block with rounded shoulders and then a broad flat slab that juts out past it on both sides. No hole or line breaks the silhouette anywhere.
