About the Fern and Bud design
A tall domed cap is scattered with white spots, and those at the rim are clipped by its curve. Beneath it a pale band marks the underside, over a stem drawn only as an outline that swells toward the base. A tuft of grass blades pushes up into that hollow foot. On the left a fern frond with paired oval leaves climbs nearly to the rim, while on the right a thin stalk curls out from the base and ends in one closed bud.
