About the Leafy Base design
Seen from slightly below, this cap shows its underside, where the gills fan out from the stem like the spokes of an umbrella. A row of white spots runs along the top rim, each one clipped by the edge of the dome. Below the cap hangs a ragged skirt with a scalloped hem, and the stem widens toward a broad, pale foot that sinks into a spiky tuft of grass. A leafy sprig with rounded leaves rises on each side.
