About the Adams sign
One sign, three ways to read it: Adams, The Adamses, or Adams Family.
That extra -es is right, not a typo: Adams takes it in the family plural.
Adams Family is the longest wording and clears every shape, so with Adams it comes down to the wall.

Where the Adams name comes from
Adams is the given name Adam with an -s on the end, and the Adam underneath it is Hebrew. Used as an ordinary noun it means man, or humanity, and it belongs to the first human in the Hebrew Bible, which is how the name travelled with both the Christian and the Muslim traditions and ended up spelled much the same across most of Europe. In Arabic it carries the sense of something made from the earth's mud. The same relationship produced McAdam in Scotland and Adamski in Poland, so Adams, McAdam and Adamski are one name in three languages.
