About the Gutierrez sign
One sign, three ways to read it: Gutierrez, The Gutierrezes, or Gutierrez Family.
That extra -es is right, not a typo: Gutierrez takes it in the family plural.
Gutierrez on its own suits the circle and the square. Gutierrez Family wants a rectangle or an oval.

Where the Gutierrez name comes from
Gutierrez means son of Gutierre, and Gutierre is the old Spanish form of Walter, now mostly replaced by Gualterio. That makes Gutierrez the Spanish counterpart of the English Walters, Watkins and Watson, which is not a family resemblance anybody would guess from the spelling. The name is Germanic in origin and came into Spanish with the Visigoths, who ruled the peninsula from the mid-5th century to the early 8th. Most people carrying it today are Latin American.
