About the Lewis sign
One sign, three ways to read it: Lewis, The Lewises, or Lewis Family.
That extra -es is right, not a typo: Lewis takes it in the family plural.
Lewis Family is the longest wording and clears every shape, so with Lewis it comes down to the wall.

Where the Lewis name comes from
Lewis has four independent origins and no single home. In England and Wales it is the Norman personal name Lowis, from the Latin Ludovicus and behind that the Germanic Hlutwig, famed battle, which became Clovis and then Louis in French. In Wales it was also taken up as an anglicisation of Llywelyn, which is an entirely different name. In Ireland it renders Lobhaois, and in Scotland it comes from Leodhas, the Gaelic name of the island of Lewis, traditionally read as the Old Norse for song house.
