About the Ramos sign
One sign, three ways to read it: Ramos, The Ramoses, or Ramos Family.
That extra -es is right, not a typo: Ramos takes it in the family plural.
Ramos Family is the longest wording and clears every shape, so with Ramos it comes down to the wall.

Where the Ramos name comes from
Ramos is the plural of the Spanish and Portuguese ramo, which means a branch or a bough, and also a bouquet of cut flowers. Behind it is the Latin ramus and, further back still, a root that meant root. Families most often took a name like this from the land they lived on rather than from an ancestor, so the branches came before the surname did. It is common in Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico, and it reached the Ilocano and Pangasinan speaking parts of the Philippines through the Catalogo alfabetico de apellidos.
