About the Dining Table design
Steel frames the top as a wide trapezoid, its long lower edge and softly rounded outer corners holding an opening that narrows toward the back. Below it two legs kick outward as they drop, so the whole thing stands wider at the floor than at the table's edge, and a straight rail ties them together partway down. That rail closes off a second trapezoid, a shallower twin of the one above it.
