About the King Bed design
Two square openings sit side by side in the headboard, and the steel dividing them is no thicker than the border running around them, so the pillows show up as gaps rather than shapes. Below that, one long horizontal opening spans the mattress, and its band pushes out past the headboard on both sides. The legs taper from full width down to sharp points, closer to tent stakes than furniture feet.
