About the Breaking Crest design
A solid black disc holds the whole scene, with the wave rising out of its lower right edge and leaving the left half as open dark sky. Thin steel lines curve up through the white water and bunch together where they wrap under the curl. The top boils into cloudlike clumps of foam, each lump outlined by small curled strokes, and the lip leans left into the black as if about to fall.
