About the Swirl Topped Tower design
Three rounded tiers of icing stack up from the sponge, each narrower than the one below, so the swirl climbs like a stepped dome to a solid black ball pressed into the top coil. The sponge underneath is a wide rectangle, about twice as wide as it is tall, crossed by one wavy line that dips, rises and curls back on itself just right of center before running on to the right wall. A thick slab with rounded ends juts out past both sides as the plate.
