About the Drip on a Stand design
Thick black icing pours over the top of a short, broad tier and runs down in three rounded drips, with the bare side of the cake left open in four arches between them. On top sits a small mound with a pointed curl rising from it like a leaf caught in the wind. The cake rests on a wide, shallow plate drawn in outline, and a slim stem carries it down to a flared foot.
