About the Sprinkle Stand design
Icing covers most of this cake, a heavy black slab that rolls down in soft scallops over a thin white band of sponge below. Six sprinkles appear as white dots punched through the icing, no two quite the same size, scattered at uneven heights. On top sits a cherry drawn only in outline, wide and dimpled like a bean, its stem tipping off to the right. The whole cake rests on a slim single post that ends in a flat bar of a foot.
